This is a very simple design for a cross
Starting at the ring, 5 ds, 3 p, sep. by 5 ds, 5 ds close ring & turn.
ch of 1 ds, 5 p, sep. by 1 ds, 1 ds, turn.
Ring of 5 ds, attach p, to last p on last ring, 5 ds, p, 5 ds, p, 5 ds, close ring, turn
Continue on until you have completed the 4 rings needed for the bottom of the cross.
After last of the 4 rings, turn, chain 3, turn make two of the rings, separated by chains of 1 ds, 5 p, sep by 1 ds, 1 ds.
After completing the two rings of the side arm of the cross, continue making the same chain (5 p sep by 1 ds) around the
side of the arm and across the top.
After connecting the last chain to the top of the first of those two rings, chain 3 and turn.
Continue on in this manner, doing the two rings at the top of the cross and chains, then the two rings and chains for the
other side of the cross, remember to chain 3 between the center rings of the cross. Chain 1 ds, 5 p sep. by 1 ds, 1 ds. down the side
of the bottom of the cross, tie to bottom of starting ring and cut.
This cross can be stiffened and used on your Christmas tree, or it can be stiffened and used as a bookmark. Either tie thin ribbon to the top
of the cross for hanging or crochet a chain stitch to make the hanger.
